Exchange of Motor Vehicles Data and Information to Support State Revenue
Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) and Traffic Corps of Indonesian National Police (Korlantas Polri) signed a cooperation agreement in exchanging motor vehicles and taxation data and information, as well as related facilities. This cooperation agreement which was carried out in order to support state revenue was held on Tuesday (4/10/2022) in the CBB Hall, Mari'e Muhammad Building, DGT Head Office.

Through this cooperation, DGT hopes that taxpayers’ motor vehicles data will be collected in the future. This information later can be used to compare the assets reported by the Taxpayer in the Tax Return.

The data exchange include registration numbers, ownership, and types of motor vehicles. Furthermore, Korlantas Polri can obtain taxation data from DGT related to the state.

In a Press Release Number SP-54/2022, Suryo Utomo as Director General of Taxes expressed his expectation that this cooperation to be a strategic step in securing state revenue. Furthermore, he hopes that the agreement will be internalized and implemented as soon as possible in order to maximize the role of taxes in Indonesia's financing and development.
