Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has piloted SILK reporting for 2021 Fiscal Year (2022 reporting). In total, 40 taxpayers participate in the 2021 fiscal year piloting activities. It consisted of 33 taxpayers who reported through DGT online and 7 taxpayers who reported through PJAP.
This piloting gives taxpayers more time and opportunities to prepare and adapt to national taxation program. Taxpayers can also provide feedback on tax reporting that will be implemented in the future.
There are six following steps for reporting procedures on the Income Tax Return SILK. First, Taxpayers are responsible for preparing audited financial reports and other tax information. In this case, Taxpayer creates a general ledger to map and identify financial statements accounts as well as other information required for tax reporting.
Second, Taxpayer logs into DGT or PJAP web portal. Taxpayers can download an instance excel form from DGT or PJAP web portal, fill it out, and then re-uploading it. Third, Taxpayers can map audited financial statement accounts into XBRL standardized report formats and fill out forms. It should be noted that standardized forms to be filled out will vary depending on entry point component or sector group that has been selected.
Fourth, Taxpayers can upload the completed forms into a web reporting portal. Web system will validate and check the reported elements, notifying if there is an error. Fifth, taxpayers can make corrections to report’s contents and re-upload the form. Taxpayers can make corrections related to financial reports contents, profit and loss details, and fiscal corrections.
Sixth, Taxpayer will receive an electronic receipt. After sending the report, Taxpayer can proceed with downloading and filling out the Income Tax Return in the form of an e-Form (DJP Online) or a web form (PJAP) that has been pre populated with data from SILK reporting.
