VAT Rate Increases, DGT Updates E-Tax Invoice Application to Version 3.2
Following up on the changes of Value Added Tax (VAT) rate from 10 percent to 11 percent, Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has released e-Tax Invoice Application version 3.2 which can be downloaded by Taxable Entrepreneurs at https://e-Faktur.pajak.go.id. This application can be installed on April 1 2022. Furthermore, e-Tax Return 1107 PUT users can use import mechanism to input Tax Invoice data on e-Tax Return 1107 PUT.

Application of VAT rate in e-Tax Invoice 3.2 depends on tax invoice date. Tax Invoice before April 1, 2022 will use 10 percent VAT rate instead of 11 percent. The procedure for filling in the date of tax invoice according to PER-24/PJ/2012 is the date when the tax invoice was made.

The brief procedure for updating e-Tax Invoice 3.2 is as follows:
  1. E-Tax Invoice 3.0 and 3.1 can be directly updated to 3.2 by renaming the old e-Tax Invoice folder, adding "_old" for example.
  2. Download and extract e-Tax Invoice, make sure to put in a separate folder and do not overwrite the old e-Tax Invoice folder. Give it an additional name, for example "_v3.2".
  3. Copy the "db" folder on the old e-Tax Invoice folder, and move it to the extracted new e-Tax Invoice folder.
  4. Click mem_config.bat and type specific nominal amount of RAM to run e-Tax Invoice. The recommended RAM is 2-3 GB, then enter, and type N.
  5. Click EtaxInvoiceUpd.exe in the new e-Tax Invoice folder, and wait until the process is finished.
  6. Rename EtaxInvoiceUpd.exe to EtaxInvoiceUpd_old.ex.
  7. Run EtaxInvoice.exe as usual.
  8. Don't forget to import the electronic certificate in the new application.
